Rye Grain that is Colonizing, its not spreading

I currently have agar wedges in jar and there is mycileum forming aroudn the chunk but it has seemed to stop growing liek the myclieum is not spreading should it cover the whoel jar or jsut are the wedges

For some reason or other the wedge must be fully grown over before It starts on the grain. I think thats one reason why shaking helps. It breaks off chunks of the stuff and they just take over from there. Peace.

there is a ball of mycileum and rye around it i cant even see it shoudl i shake it hard to break it up?

let it go for a little while. If soon it does not seem healthy try adding water then if that fails to provide relief start over. Your grain may have some sort of a fungicide in it.
