What happened to my mycilum?
    #3826810 - 02/24/05 12:09 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

I did a casing with crumbled cakes. The mycelium was growing really good and then I cased with Coco and Verm and then let it grow more until the casing had the mycelium sticking up all through out the valleys. I then stuck it out side to cold shock it for 12 hours in 40 degrees. and after bringing it back it I noticed that the mycelium was gone out of the casing. What happened?

is it possible that it rained on it, cold shocking will slow its growth and it's
not necisary for cubensis, give it a little time and it should return, exposing it
to the elements may well have doomed it.

No I kept it covered and it didn't rain and the humidity out side was really high. There is still allot of mycelium around the out sides but in the middle part of my container which by the way is a large container about 3.5 long x 2.5 wide and 6" deep. I took a fork and dug down under the casing and there is still mycelium there?
