Im guessing youre not in Northern Az right now...althoough Phx and Tucson havent been very hot recently...If you want to grow in the summer....or simply live during the summer, you must have AC

Outdoor ... give it up  , there are only a few places in AZ that you may have a little luck, and it will be a very short time period in which you will get some outdoor patches .
Indoors... No problem  ,you will be controling the enviros with your AC unit,and choose some species that do not require colder temps or cold shocking and you will do just fine. I mean lets face it humans are comfortable in the same temp range as many of the tropical species of mushrooms  78-82*F

cool mist humidifier set up on fruiting chamber, incubation is 80 degrees and most people dont like it that hot in their home, so you should be ok I lived in Tucson for 17 years and I knew a couple people who grew no problem.

yeah I keep my house at 75 degrees 80 gets warm especially when Im smoking a bowl and I sart coughing, break out in a sweat.... 5 degree difference in a house is a big change

Old post but thought I would add my two cents. Spoiled is hardly the word for the 110 degree heat we get here. You should have no problem with an AZ grow. Outdoors wont work if your in southern AZ but in the north you might be ok.

heres another option: a minifridge.
i live in So Cal and i figure when the weather gets warm, i'll plug the fridge into a thermostat device so that it comes on when it gets too warm. (yes, they do make those.)
heres a pic:
(in this pic its being used as an incubator, but now i have a TiT so its just a fruiting chamber)
