'Round these parts (Interior Alaska) the Amanita season has been wonderful. The Earth has provided an incredible amount of these sacred mushrooms... Big ones, too! Some caps I recently saw were over a foot in diameter.
Early season harvest was the best I've ever seen. Deep red, mostly egg-shaped caps at the base of every birch tree at a fairly high altitude. That was about a month ago, and now they grow EVERYwhere, carpeting the forest floor in large patches, and peppered throughout neighborhood lawns, etc. Definently the prominent fungus of the season, praise Jah!
Anybody else been diggin' the Amanitas? Spread the word about any findings, trips, and knowledge you may have about sacred Soma!
Peace and love.
