hmm, like to note there's sorta an s&p board there... except over there they they call it beliefs and  spirituality,,,weird, it's like a parallel universe, everyone here is there, except it's are exact opposites, weird...

Wow, I am surprizzed this is a dead subject. I would think more people would be interested in differant cannons of the Christian tradition. Seriously, there are some interesting things and possibly lost words of enlightenment like the gospel of Mary Magdoline.

roman catholics have a few of the "apocryphal books" sorta shuffled into "the old testament" books...

the word "apocryphal" has come to mean something like spurious or fake... it originally meant "hidden" (as in, the supposed "original hebrew manuscripts" were assumed to be missing, or hidden...)(but many of them were apparently composed in greek, & not in aramaic or hebrew, mmmkay?)(dr martin luther did translate the apocryphal books (from the hebrew) into german, and they were usually printed in between the "old testament" & the "new testament" in protestant bible translations (it is thus in my NEB))...

so, has anybody read vidal's _live from golgotha_ yet? heh...

I could offer plenty of suggestions for great fiction novels just like the bible!
