Out & Out bold "STATEMENT" to the People of S & P....
    #3824484 - 02/23/05 10:42 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

For one who is KNOWING of everything could never get bored, as life is ANYTHING but boring....

The act/state of being bored is a choice....
Even death itself could hardly be considered a solid foundation to boredom....

Care to differ or expound...?!!!!

Who said we were bored?

"A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

What about the interaction of people, family and friends...?  What about creative and expressive arts...?  What about *feelings* of love, and the other many varying degrees of positive emotions of "pleasure"....?

Enjoying other's creations of expressive "passions" are reason enough for me - but this does come second to enjoying family and friends for who they are, and how they think....

Just because one "knows" doesn't mean one cannot "taste"....

And the memory remains....

Care to differ some more...?    :peace:

And I didn't say anything about "living forever", but I would most certainly take a bite of that "apple"....

I like where this is going.

"I think, therefore I am"

to me it's more like:

"I choose, therefore I am"

but I guess they both mean the same thing.

knowing everything would make conversation senseless between you and others. what intrigue would there be. love? man love is just sharing the good time with someone and not wanting to let it go. sex? whatever bang a bunch of models and eventually you will lust for intellectual stimulation which will not be able to be found becuzz knowing everything you cannot be stimulated, its a weak arguement. pleasure...when i poop it feels good, ive pooped many times im over it, when i have great sex with a gurl it rox, after five years, its just to bust a nut and is old.

Do Chess Masters ever stop playing the "game"....?

Does the act of eating "good" food or wine ever stop the pleasure of "tasting", or "savoring" the "flavor"...?

Feeling the warm sun on your face thru the clouds on a cold morning while you are wrapped in a *nice* warm flannel blanket....
(*Assuming* that you are not allergic.... tongue: )

Sex is only ONE of the MANY pleasures in life, even if you DO know everything....
Perhaps intellect + sex (in a partner) = "MORE (fucking) GRAND"....?

What of the "Thrill" of the "Hunt"....?    HHhhhmmmmmm.....

You will only find negative where you look for it....  Quit looking so hard....!
(Oh wait, I asked you too....  )

yea there are lots of pleasures which too get old , i love pizza , i looooove pizza if i ate it everyday i would dread having to eat it again, sweet turns sour, fascination to disgust, chess masters never know everything so why would they quit they pursue what no one has yet achieved being unbeatable. i cant help it im protesting your statement that if u knew everything you wouldnt be bored. i elaborated with the if you had done everything it would get old

Moderation is a key term....  Perhaps this would be the end to the "blandness" you seem to be bonding to repetition....?

Again, I did not say anything about living forever, but it could still be "managed" with a little forsight....  And since one knows it all, that forsight just might be applicable....
