I've brought home 10 garbage bags full of horse dung from various subb fields already, and plan on adding :) I mix it with wheat straw that I buy for 5$ a bail, so far I've layed down 4 bails, and plan on adding :) There have already been a few subbs and other various muhrooms pop up, and the patch was only constructed a week ago, its also covered in grass already(I've been watering). The first few days I went out there every so often and walked around on the patch for 10-15 minutes to compress the dung and straw together. I plan on using an old spore syringe to shoot all kinds of various dung dwellling mushroom spores into the patch. Whatever fruits this year will be left there so spores are spread. I plan to just keep adding dung, straw, grass clippings and other various things to the patch to keep it going. I think, and hope it will work well :)

If its cubies you want to fruit, just take the cow pies home from the field and keep them in good shape on the way. Set them in a shady low spot in your yard or wherever the patch is going to be, water when needed. It works quite well I can assure you. But you have to bring home turds that you have seen fruiting, you can't just pick up shit and bring it home, water it, and expect cubensis to magically appear :)
