Keeping jars alive
    #3824109 - 02/23/05 07:17 PM (19 years, 1 month ago)

Hey,

I have jars that are about done, maybe about 3-4 days before they are fully colonized. But I have a problem. In a week I must be away from them for 2 full weeks. Can I save them? Can I put them in the fridge without taking them out of their jars and keep them alive? What can I do?

Thanks

This was answered earlier today.

Yes...you can keep them in the frig.

make sure the lids are on tight.

tape the holes.

I'd go with the ziplocks...added protection.
