Wood decomposers..

What are some edible non-psychadelic mushrooms that can be grown on wood? I mean, could white button mushrooms or portobellos be forced to grow oln it or something?

Where could you find them? Buy a book, for instance Growing Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms from Paul Stamets, It has growing parameters for more than 30 fungi species.
The cultures are also available at www.fungi.com .
