quarts vs 1/2 gallons

i know this seems like its to easy, but i just thought maybe id have to pc the 1/2 gallons for longer or change some ssteps slightly. I currently use quart jars but there really stacking up, im under the impression theres 2 quarts in a 1/2 gallon, can i just use 1/2 gallons, put 5cc in each, and put half of the jars into my casing(quart in each)

if you're going through so much sub with quarts that they're starting to stack up, why don't you just go to bulk subs?  i haven't used half gallons but my guess is that they'd take hella time to colonize...  GL either way :stoned:

you can use each fully colonized quart to inoculate 10 half gallon jar of substrate, (if you are using rye grain witch breaks apart upon shaking) this will reduce colonizing time on half gallon jars by 1 week
