tired of PF strain.
    #381977 - 08/30/01 06:18 AM (22 years, 7 months ago)

I've basically mastered growing PF classics... they're good shrooms and all, and they grow really easy, but... I'm looking to try a more "exotic" strain, and something that can basically grow using the same tek's, i.e. verm/brf and 50/50 casing. I dunno about wood-loving psilos or anything, just grain lovers.

any ideas? thx! peace out!

Any P.cubensis strain will work. There are about 20 to choose from.
Check the Vendor link in the Grow/Find section for the different suppliers.

Ralph is full of shit. I tried to grow a "frying pan" once you know the pans that you fry with. They just don't grow; all cast iron and no rhizos make tom a sad man.

Try lipa yai, ecuador, or PESA

Protocol - the fastest colonisers are the thai and especially the Cambodian strains - if anyone says that B+ is a fast coloniser in comparison, is full of shit...

I am not full of shit & know that you mentioned you wanted to grow something exotic ? ...

go w/ the pan cyans ... they're crazy.

if that's too exotic for you...
why not mellow down to a shroom that people in Thailand are quite accustomed to [ Thai Koh-Samui or Lip-Yai ] .. both are great.. really cool trips.

The pans are a lil' more intense..

if you've already mastered cubes growing and if you dislike this shrooms with 'brand names' like b+, camboja, hawaian or what the hell, go to a field trip where you live and try to get prints from wild shrooms. sometimes wild cubes can be hard to tame though sometimes they grow easily. if you achieve success, you'll have your very own strain... and nobody else will, unless you trade/give it away. ;)
i think this should work for pans also.

i hate witty sigs / if anything i say has something in common with reality, this is a merely a coincidence.
