just starting out ,have a few questions

Could someone tell me what a casing is ? Is this something you do to the cake after birthday and before placing in the tetarrium ? Also can anything be used to keep the cakes of the tetarrium floor ,whats the best ? like to stay away from the chicken wire if possible . My fraind is still building the tetarrium out of a cooler with a cool mist approach any other helpful hints would be great ...Thanks

1. A casing as a layer of substance that covers colonised substrate and assists in controlling the moisture and humidity around the top layer of mycelium. Read up in the Grow of Find em section. I wouldn't worry about it if this is your first time. Just stick to the MMGG plain cake in high humidity method.
2. You can just use the lids of the jars to keep the cakes off the floor, although why you want to avoid chicken wire?!
3. Advice: keep it extremely simple the first time around.
