"Well well, young one"
    #3817471 - 02/22/05 05:23 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

I'm still in shock as I type this.

I just got off the phone with my 15 year old brother whom I rarely see anymore. Turns out the kid is in a band, experiments with marijuana and shrooms, and still maintains a decent grade in school. He's taking the same route I once took. I admitted to him about my usage of certain substances and my experiences, and he suggested that we trip sometime. I'm very skeptical about this though, I feel he is too young to be in these kind of situations, but then again I may just be bias in opinion due to my status as Big Brother. Then again, I don't want to be a hypocrite...

What do you guys think, let the kid party and join him, or play the role of supervisor?

Join him teach him the ropes so that when some scum coomes along and trys to do him wrong he will be able to see it.. or before some scum comes along and teaches him to be scum... You teach him the right way. Thats what I would do if my little sister came and talked to me about what she was doing . i wouldnt want anyone else to hurt her or teach her wrong

I wish there was a way I could teach him that drugs are not about just getting fucked up.

Sounds like a lot of us when we were kids. Its a tough choice my friend. Im an only child so its hard for me to relate to the big brother mentality. I wouldnt jump into tripping with him right away, maybe a bowl and some catching up. You should talk to him more and assess the situation. His path could lead in a variety of directions. Ive know kids like him that have turned out great and others that went from top of the line to bottom of the barrel in a very short time. Being a supervisor is a good idea though. I have a friend that quit doing everything quite some time ago and he hangs with some younger folks and acts as supervisor to them. He makes sure that everyone keeps their noses clean, so to speak, while still experimenting.

I have a little brother that's into the same kind of stuff I am. He's only 17, but he's responsible about it. I've taught him a few things and made sure he doesn't into too much trouble. Some kids will do these things, it's unnavoidable. But make sure if they're going to do them that they understand the consequences of their actions, and teach them to be a responsible user.

yer, I think you should trip with him, or at lest talk about it with him, my brother turned his back to me until I was 18, and still he's uptight... I would have loved some one close to show me the ropes, I don't know if that would have stopped me getting in to trouble, but I would of thought he was the coolest...

Explain to him the importance of these psychedelic experiences, and experience them with him.  Turn him onto Shamanism and where the roots of psychoactivity stemmed from   He will be one of the smartest kids around.  Trippin for evolution, rather than fun.

I say feed em some beans for his 16th.

--------------------
A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.

I shall. Ain't no sibling of mine taking a downhill route. He seems to be enthusuastic, I'll trip with him and show him the depths of perception and introduce him to some true music.

I'll also tune up his drumset, from what I heard he don't know shit about tuning.
