hI ALL.
dOES N E ONE KNOW THE LAWS ON SHROOMS IN THE UK. i AM 15 AND DONT WANT TO GO TO JAIL LOL SO PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE!

Im not like a lawyer or anything, so dont go out and do anything illegal on my advice. But im pretty sure that theyre legal to pick and eat, as long as theyre not prepared in any was. The truth is nodoby seems to know. Mushrooms themselves are not mentioned anywhere in the misuse of drugs act, but Psilocybin is. In the past cases involving mushrooms (dried and fresh) have been thrown out fo court because the judges have ruled that 'mushrooms are mushrooms and psilocybin is a chemical', but this is no guarentee this would hapen to you.

It's generally considered ok to pick and eat fresh mushroom, and to grow mushrooms so long as you eat them fresh. If you dry them you are getting into a more complicated area, and if you sell them then you are asking for trouble.

Basically the word of the law is not clear, and it will all depend on how the police officer who catches you, and the judge who (may or may no) sees your case chooses to interpret the law.

It doesnt look like there are many people here from UK.

But hey, follow this link, http://erowid.org and check the law section under shrooms..it should have something for it.

If not, look around on the net, thats your best bet buddy ;)

remember readign a case where man foudn with dried shrooms. Proved to court they dried naturally, and got them back and left court freeman. On way home stopped by police, who took dry shrooms.

Is complicated area. You have to prove they not for consumtion.

Don't think much would happen if you had some dry shrooms on you, get em confiscated, warning, i would have thought.

Best thing to do, walk into police station and ask.
