When to begin 2nd flush?
    #3811783 - 02/21/05 05:48 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

Hi all, quick question here. I was going to soak my casing today and then begin the 2nd flush in a day or 2 when I take it out, but i just checked on them and they have a new patch of some tiny shrooms growing. Should I let those continue or pick em and start the flush. Most of the other ones have been mature enough and picked, and these are just some real late pinners.

Once you harvest, you either mist or dunk. If you dunk, no more for 24 hours.

Then put back in the fruiting chamber and let it go.

Since it is already producing fruits, let it go.

So I shouldn't do anything but just let it go and keep it moist and stuff?

i'm not trying to take over your post, but i have a similar question. my first casing which has one patch of mushrooms growing on one of the sides is almost ready to be picked and the rest of the casing realy hasn't produced anything, would it be ok to just mist the areas of the casing where nothing grew, or should i wait untill i pick what i have and mist the whole thing at once?

That is because of an uneven pinset. Nothing will grow there. That is your flush.

Of course there will. But you need to re-hydrate it.

Let this flush finish. When it is done, soak it. You dont have to dunk casings. Just mist it. You mist untill it cannot absorb anymore water. Then put it back in for fruiting.
