substitute for foil..

what can be used to sub tinfoil on the jar? i know you can tape the holes but i have never done this. what kind of tape can be used? i have duct tape and medical tape which would be better?

even if you tape the holes; when you pressure cook it water gets into the jar from the top of the cooker. so foil is like the only option. unless you are doing something else. are you pressure cooking it???

no they are not pressure cooked, steam sterilized

any tape that is not cloth based will do. if its gift wrapping tape you will never get it off again. black electrical tape works wonders.
