is it ok to use alcohol to anti bacterialize perlite, or does it do wrong to the mycilium?
also, on a bonehead note, i accidently sprayed a casing of mine that i thought had cobweb contam on it, when it was only mycilia, with alocohol/water solution about a week ago. and i have not seen any growth in it since, have i killed it or is there anything i can do to help it?

nope, the alchohol kills any living fungus on the casing. you probably dont need to antibacterialixe the perlite unless it has shit or something on it, just rinse with water.

so are you saying that the casing is done for, or can i salvage it? scrape off the top layer of verm and relay another layer...

The only thing that survives in alcohol are anaerobic organisms, so your casing is surely doomed. Anyway, i've survived many times to alcohol and i'm not an anaerobic organism.... or am i???
