I dunno... I guess you'd have to ask God when he pushes the red button. This question doesn't challenge the possibility of an afterlife though, because there is some point where the consciousness either ceases to exist, or continues in a different realm.

Well, I guess you could ignore the solemn avowel of those who claim to have these expiriences, that would be your prerogative. But the question has serious implications, so, for me anyways, it's a hard question to avoid. Although I concede, the verdict is still out.
