Shroomism's back in jail

I thought I should let ya'll know: Shroomism was arrested for driving with a suspended lisence... he was driving Ares' moped to work, which is currently in the impound. We didn't tell the Shroomery because he didn't want us to make a big deal about it like last time, since people accused him of scamming Shroomerites..
Yeah so he's supposed to be out in early March, it's a mandatory 30 day sentence and he was arrested at the beginning of February. This means he sat in jail on his birthday, the 15th.. We tried to visit him on that day but they wouldn't let us, saying that he was transferred to the "new" jail. Sounds kinda suspicious to me.. They probably have him indefinately detained for being a terrorist or some crap.
sigh

Aw, that sucks! I was wondering where he'd gotten off to. Y'all need to get the hell out of Marion Co. as soon as you're able to. That place has some bad mojo, to be sure...

I didn't think you did either, but apparently in Marion County you do.

if the moped was 50cc or under you don't need a DL.

When I was 14 in Minnesota we all got out moped/motorbike, boating, sailing, snowmobile licenses. Even if we didn thave the vehical we all got them cuz all it took was a writen test that cost $10.....
That was Minnesota though.

The Shroomery should maintain a permanent bail fund. People could donate at any time and the funds would be used solely for bail. Since bail money is returned once the case is settled as long as no one skipped town the fund would essentially be a loan of sorts. It could be kept on the honor system with Shroomery members voting on who to give the money to in time of need. As long as there was no charge for the service I don't think there would be any tax implications.
I for one would donate to a Shroomery bail fund maintained by Shroomery members.

I see a problem. What if someone contributes a lot of money to this fund, and then, god forbid, they get arrested and the Shroomery bail fund is all dried up. It wouldn't be fair.

It would be fair because they would be donating in advance to a group fund. If a person feels they don't have enough money donate that's fine. It would need to be thought of as a selfless act of kindness not insurance.

either way it will never happen. maybe a group effort on each individual basis, but never a Shroomery Sponsered Bail fund. The administration Im sure does not want to deal with that.
