Sunflower seeds in Bird Seed?!?!?! Yay or Nay??

I noticed that some here still thin kits a good idea to remove the sunflower seeds. What is the reasoning behind this? Who does and who doesn't use sun flower seeds?

i remember back in the day there was a guy named mr g that claimed he invented b+. He also started the rumor about having to remove the sunflower seeds

Uhh, well I don't know about that Mr. G claim, but you'll be fine if the sunflower seeds are left in. Works for me every time.

I did an experiment with nothing but sunflower seeds, I found that getting the
water content right is a bit difficult and as long as they are sterilized for
the appropriate amount of time, theres not a problem with using them. I certainly dont pick them out of my substrate

the reason which spawned this question was that i have been emailing a guy that makes kits for home cultivation of edibles. I asked him if he recomends birdseed for ports and he said thats what he uses and he leaves the sunflower seeds in there. I know to leave the seeds in, he knows. It was weird because i wasnt even going in that direction. I assume he knows that there was a big hoopla about taking the seeds out and i just wanted to know what you all think.

so lemme get this straight, although no nutes are contained in sunflower seeds they are benificial because they give areation to a caseing?

sunflower seeds have no nutes??? Who told you this? You can grow using straight seeds! There is growth here, growth=nutes.
