I know I'm probably going to take a lot of shit for this suggestion, but I'm going to post it anyway. I spend a lot of time at work on the shroomery, and it isn't a problem. People can walk by my desk and not see what kind of site I'm on, and even if they could, no one where I work would give a shit about shrooms anyway, so it's pretty safe to come on here at work. On-line porn is another thing all together. Now I personally love porn, after all, I'm the superpimp, and at home I waste hours a night downloading all sorts of evil shit that I will go to hell for. But at work, people have a bad habbit of getting fired if there is even a hint of smut in the workplace. Lately there have been a lot of porn pics posted on the shroomery, which I'm cool with, and I would never want that to stop, but I've had a couple of close calls where women would be walking by my desk just as a giant pic of a girl getting tripple teamed pops up on my 21" screen when I thought I was opening up a relatively "innocent" post. My suggestion is to have the option of having some type of symbol next to a topic that has pics in it, so you will know not to open a certain thread while you are at work or in an environment where pics of girls eating each others pussies can get you into trouble. I hope this doesn't sound like I'm for censorship, cause censorship is the most dangerous thing in the world. I just thought that there must be lots of other shroomerites that want to be able to look at the Shroomery at work and not have to look over their shoulders while they do it.

Yup, thats about what I expected, no doubt about that. But I definetly opened myself up for it. Is it me, or is Bivalve the most useless piece of shit to ever walk the face of the Earth? Oh well, whenever I think to myself that my life is not everything I want it to be, at least I can remind myself that at least I'm not nearly the pathetic, 24 hour a day on-line looser that he is. I wonder if he'll ever get laid by anyone except his collection of finger puppets? Not fucking likely.

Never mind this queer 13y/o little dipshit (hey, some of us were also 13y/o little dipshits at one point)... I've had the same problem, opening Shroomery threads at work to find that our fast connection has instantly planted a huge porn pic in the middle of my screen, just as my fat nosy co-worker is walking by. I really don't think it would be practical to try to enforce "content control" on the Shroomery, though. Just don't open new threads while someone's looking in your direction.

Thanks for the understanding wind_wraith. And I agree that it is a pretty impractical suggestion, I hate the fact that I even brought it up. I guess thats the price you pay hanging around a site that can be a magnet for retards who don't really get the point of the Shroomery in the first place. I keep telling myself that if your going to hang around 10 year olds, you can't get freaked out when one of them starts eating his own boogers.

You could always make it so your browser
doesn't show you pictures. In IE, go to Tools,
then Internet Options, then Advanced, then
under Multimedia you can click Show Pictures.
I'm sure you could do that same with Netscape.
Now I hope this time you actually read what
I suggested instead of skipping right to the
gay porn.

I have exactly the same problem, and I was gonna post a similar thread. Nobody's asking for censorship or anything, just a small warning for the nasty stuff. Personally, I think that's fair.
