"Take it easy.".. "But how?"

Once upon a time, an old man lived 224 years, who when asked how he accomplished such a feat, replied:

"Sit like a turtle, walk like a pidgeon, sleep like a dog!"

Of course, this is sincere advice given, but incomplete advice. It is incomplete in the same sense that the local priest, sage, or teacher may preach the words of the ancient texts and sages, but may not tell you just how to be like Christ, Mohammed or Lao Tzu.
For if one tries to follow such ways, advice and wisdom in an ad hoc fashion, it is like trying to go through a path when you never even started it, or trying to read a book by beginning at the end.
The result becomes one who has to put effort into "behaving" in a certain way, being a "genuine fake", as Watts puts it in The Book.

So, perhaps we should have a Pow-Wow and ask How, and go Wow, Now!

Coffee should be black as hell, strong as death, and sweet as love.

Yes, yes! That is why they say that goodness must be in your heart not in your actions. Jesus said to do our good deeds in private so that no one could see them. This way you can't do good deeds and not mean them because there would be no point, no reward of a philanthropic reputation, only the reward of goodness for goodness' sake!

You can do a lot of things and not do them sincerely. I suppose there is no way to get someone to be truly sincere. They have to figure out on their own how much is sucks to be an asshole!

Maybe the key is that before you start walking the path you must understand WHY you want to walk it. Have a reason! It's like plugging numbers into a math formula. You can plug in the numbers and get the answer, but until you understand WHY the formula does what it does and WHY it works then you will never really understand what the answer means or how you got it at all! All you did was do some arithmatic as you were told to do and now you have another irrelevent number! Whoopdedoo!

Understand the formula and you can make it do whatever you want!
