What is it growing on? Wood, poo, or just out of the grass? I can't tell.

It was growing near alot of mica caps, except the mica caps were closer to a old tree root. So I guess growing near wood..

The spore prints color will be very important for identifying these.

Also, are parts slimy or sticky?

The specimens you show in detail are older ones. Could you show us what the very young ones look like? In particular, we need to see the partial veil - the bit that turns into the shredded white bits around the edge of the cap in your photos.

What kind of wood were they growing from? Was it deciduous or an evergreen?

Happy mushrooming!

The first picture shows them all, there were no younger ones.
Here is them from a different angle:

And then a few hours later:

I don't know what kind of wood, it was a stump, maybe it was rotting...
It was growing further from the wood than other mushrooms...

Red circle = them
yellow = other mushrooms(mica cap)
red = the stump

Thanks,
-xIcy

Not sure what they are. Maybe Galerina or Inocybe. Don't have my books on me.

Either way, rusty brown spore print makes me think poisonous. Do not eat!

Thanks, man.

Tommorrow, I'll go back there and collect more of them and take more pics. All the rain should make more grow =)

PS - I was never going to eat these =x

New pics:

Gill position:

And here is a spore print on white paper...it is more brown and less rusty than the one on white paper, maybe there was just too much moisture..

They were growing a few feet away from a patch of mica caps =)

Thanks,

-xIcy
