i find that the maturity level in S&P is like incredibly higher than that of OTD. i mean..people talk about that crap all the time everywhere everyday...
what do you guys think about OTD vs S&P?

I think it would take someone with a very big ego to claim such intellectual elitism.

I don't think there's really a comparison, other than they're both forums or something... totally different

The discussions going on in OTD go way over my head. They've got incredible capacities in there.

I think the differences between OTD and S&P stem from the differences in the forum descriptions and the intended (or not so intended ) discussions that go on within that.
What more could one say?
Peace.

No, not really. OTD is for comedy purposes, as S&P is intended for serious discussion (although that's not 100% true sometimes). Of course, a sense of humor is required for OTD...

"what do you guys think about OTD vs S&P? "
you should ask this in OTD and see what comes up. The results would probably be funny.

I'd also like to add that I've never seen an OTDer advocate the ideas of David Icke or Zecharia Sitchin, or other such UFO conspiracy theorists.

I may be new here but i think they're both great. the OTD forum is kinda weird though, a lot of inside jokes or something, I don't even know what people are talking about there most of the time.
i think they're both equally "spiritual." Mundane life is full of wisdom an knowledge too!

Ya, I suppose I should've said "sanity" rather than "intelligence." Many crazy people have been quite intelligent.

i was thinking more along the lines of "what" is talked about in OTD compaired to S&P. i mean nif you want to shoot the shit all day....hang out with people in person like friends......and there ya go. i come here to S&P because none of my friends (really) talk about religion, philosophy, and such... too complex for them to handle, so i come here. maybe the people that frequent the OTD forum have friends that can't understand the in depth thought provoking conversations that the OTD has to offer.
but it too serves it's purpose! the OTD is great.

Remember that some people(myself included) post in S&P and OTD. Also, I've met quite a few Shroomerites who have an interest in S&P topics, but avoid this forum like the plague because they don't like the confrontational atmosphere of this forum.
