Rant about WBS.

I just gotta let something out real quick after a long night of cleaning up. WBS sucks! Sure it's a little cheaper than popcorn(haven't used rye so I can't vouch for that) and it's got a good mix of grains. But dammit, it's a pain in the ass to get ready. I've used popcorn a few times with great results everytime(even when I used the oven to sterilize) and if you spill some it's no big deal to pick it up. "oh look. There's a big bright yellow kernal. I better pick it up", done. But god forbid you drop some WBS on the floor. You'll have shit everwhere no matter how good you clean up. Plus it's a pain in the ass to rinse, strain, ect. compared to popcorn. Sorry if I hurt any of you WBS lovers' feeling, but you can keep it. I'm done with that shit.
P.S. I also found out that no matter how mild the smell of horsey poo is before you cook it, it smells like black death once it heats up. Fuck me.

gathering fresh crap from a horse or any other animal is more than I'm willing to commit to this hobby. I have limits.
-------------------- And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk ...four times already this year and I used to be over by the window and I could see the squirrels, and they were merry, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and its not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire.

That's the thing; you don't gather fresh crap. What's needed is aged crap that's been siiting in the sun, been rained on and sun dried again. You know, aged. The smell from pasteuring aged dung is not unpleasant at all.
Or maybe I'm just obsessed with this hobby. Hmmm....

Exactly...you want aged horse manure...not fresh.
Aged horse manure smells earthy...not like fresh manure.

Grin............to each his own. Pretty simple. Soak WBS in plastic bucket. After soak, place full bucket on counter next to sink, tip & drain into sink. Scoop WBS out of bucket into colander in sink, rinse, drain & load. Spilling lots of WBS on floor isn't in the tek.
.Weather aged H/poo doent smell bad when you PASTURIZE IT. I never COOKED any, so I never was subject to the smell you describe.

Maybe I should try using the hot water method for tha pasturizing. No matter how good I sealed the bags, the smell got out.
