last three batches contaminated!!!

The last three batches from SC have all contaminated. I thought it was that I hadnt used a pressure cooker but now I got one and the dry verm layer started growing green shit. How can this be there is no moisture or nutrients in this area and it is supposed to be sterilized.At first everything went great for about two weeks, I had over half colonization. Once I noticed the green shit it stalled and hasnt done anything but get fuzzy. What am I doing wrong, Ive done three other batches that went great but now Im getting very discouraged!!!

There's many reasons as to why it got contaminated. Maybe you didn't wipe off the rim of the jar before putting the verm in the top? There are a whole bunch of things that could have went wrong. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can really do. Bury the cakes in your backyard, and hope for the best. Next time, be very sterile.

Did you wipe the top inside of the jar clean after putting in the substrate mix and before the dry verm layer? This is important yet sometimes overlooked.

Re-check your hygeinic practices and see what might be wrong. Are you using a HEPA filter or a glove box? Do you wash your hands and wear a clean set of clothes when you do your work? Do you properly sterilize your jars? Do you work on a table, and keep everything away from the floor? (90% of contaminants in a room are within a foot of the floor). Check everything and see where you can improve. Also, let Sporechicks know about this. They'll most likely replace your print/syringe.
