James Redfield

Just curious, has anyone read The Celestine Prophecy,
The tenth Insite, or
In search of the eleventh insight - the secret of shambhala

from james redfield. The third is probably my favorite of the series. I read them a long time ago, and was reminded of them recently, just curious if anyone else has read them

I think everyone here has read them. I thought they were too dumbed down to be truly interesting. Spirituality made New Age easy for the masses.

"A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

Yeah, i read them, but it was poorly written. It had the flow and structure of a 4th grades research paper. Had some interesting points, nothing really new though. I did however like the 7th (?) insight about relationships and couples and how you need to be two complete people before you can have a working relationship.

I have read the Celestine Prophecy and I mainly approached it as fiction. Although I find the part about people stealing other's energy to coincide with what I've observed in life. It makes sense to me that those with a stronger connection with the Source have no need to siphon others energy since they have access to a neverending supply of energy. Ever been around someone and you just feel drained after interacting with them? Damn psychic vampires!

I AM what Willis was talkin' bout.

The only book by James Redfield that i read is "God and the Evolving Universe". I thought it was interesting, i see it as a participation to human awakening.

Its true that the writing wasn't overly complicated, and that's good! It makes it available for anyone that is interested, whether they be in 5th grade or whether they're nickname is Einstein. That's how spirituality is! Its not reserved to the "special few" who earn their right to acces spirituality.

gosh, i can't believe none of you understand this...
