Feed corn as a growing medium?

I was just wondering if anyone has tried regular feed corn.. I know popcorn is pretty popular. Reason I'm askin' is I have access to 50# bags of the stuff ( I have goats ) and it's super cheap.. like $3 for a 50# bag..
I tried doing a search but got squat..

is feed corn cracked already. If so then its not gonna be good. It will be too sticky. I believe feed corn is shittier then regular corn. I know it isnt tastey. You should try it. I doupt the nutrients will vary enough to make a big difference

Nah, it's whole kernels... I was just curious why no one seems to have tried this seeing as it's at every feed store and the price is SO much cheaper than popcorn...

hit it up, because most people dont hang out at the feed shops and know the prices. get some syringes while you are there

I've used whole kernal corn with success. It was meant for squirrel/bird seed, but it liked my mushrooms too. Give it a go and let us know. I'll give you back the couple hours of your life it takes if it doesn't work out

you all should really do wbs, a 10 lb bag from walmart is like 5 dollars and the potency of wbs shrooms is excellent.

Cracked corn from the feed store works for mushies and moonshine , so I'm sure whole kernel feed corn would work for you. Check out the grain teks with the popcorn/cracked corn. Make sure you let it drain fairly well (good squeeze or 20-30 mins of sitting in a strainer) before you PC it and you should be fine. Colonization is really quick too when combined with the karo tek.

Agar envisions 100 lbs of colonized corn spawn, shoveled into 700 lbs of dung/straw, in a giant sized mycobag sitting on a pallet board, that takes a fork lift to move.
Got dung?
