temp of jars during innoculation

how cool do the jars need to be before they can be injected?
i did a batch of six about three days ago, and i haven't seen any signs of colonization at all. i have heard it takes 3-10 days to start seeing fuzz. so i was wondering if it is possible that i didn't let them cool enough. they were slightly above room temp when i injected them. i didn't think that a slightly higher temp would kill the spores. would it? i guess i should just be more patient. my room was at about 80 i guess... so the jars were probably between 80 and 85 or so. anyway, any help or advice would be appreciated. thanks.

You sort of answered your own question. Time will tell, it can take up to two weeks, but you will usually see germination within a week.

I innoculated about 4 days ago, and I just started seeing my first patch of mycelium today. I have had the jars in a box in my attic, which gets to be around 85-90 degrees Farenheit during the day.. it is also very humid.
