legal issues

I was wondering if anyone knew the legal issues concerning the cultivating of shrooms. I know that spores are legal and anthing containing psilocybin is illegal , but what about your jars during the incubation period. Could this be seen as intent or even having the necessary items to grow.Ifanyone knows whats really goin on help me out.

No, I've never had legal problems. Jars are extremely illegal, they contain trace amounts of psilocybin and are obvious evidence that you are producing illegal drugs.

no way... unless your outside the US? Its certainly illegal in the states and the laws very from state to state. As long as you dint have a whole floor of your house dedicated to growing, and you have a decent lawyer, you could probably get off on a misdemeanor. Im just not sure how they would count weight against you. Would wet shrooms be counted by their actual weight? Would they count the weight of substrate as they would a bag of dried fungi? These are the technicalities that can really bring you down.

im not sure how acurate these are but here it is anyway

http://jug-or-not.com/shroom/statelaw.html

I think I was wrong about the misdemeanor part. It would be a class I Felony, but if you werent previously arrested for these charges youd get off on probation... this is for illinois and for over 200 grams of weight.

Recently some people from around here were arrested and charged with
a class 1 felony for growing mushrooms... You could probably find the story at http://www.journalnet.com in the archives from the past 2 weeks or so.
