Yesterday at just the right moment I asked her if she would join me on a mushroom trip. And she said yes.. So a good friend (You know who you are ) is supplying me with a good deal on some shrooms.. And as soon as they arrive the kids will sleep at grandma's house and we will trip together! JOY JOY JOY.. I thought it would never happen! What a grand weekend!

I wouldnt want her to try them yet.
My wife isnt nearly comforatable with herself to do mush. They would just scare her. Now with a few more years of therapy......maybe....if Im lucky.

Excellent!
Nowadays, other than a few solo flights every now and then, I always trip with my wife - she was the one who first got me into mushrooms!
At times during a trip we just stare at each other and see/understand/communicate everything we feel for each other and so much more.
Tripping with someone you love is such a deep bonding experience!
Hope it goes well for both of you!

Well the first time we tripped together we took a low dosage so it was pretty easy to steer around the curves.
Mainly my advice, harking back to the first few trips we had together are initially typical common sense tripping things - the right preparation & setting - if you share the energy of this, even make a joined ritual of it (my wife & I meditate then discuss our goals for the trip directly beforehand), you'll be united throughout the journey. Make clear the rules and boundaries of the trip that you both feel comfortable with. If she's never tripped before, give clear indication of something both of you will do the next day (so she's aware if worried in the trip that there will be a time when it's over) - we always do some gentle work in our garden the next day (once spent a whole day just chatting about the trip and polishing pebbles for our pond).
The things we had problems with were on fairly high doses - seeing each other's faces rapidly morphing through multiple variations of expressions and getting locked on images of each other which were negative (eg looking depressed, frightened, angry), or unappealing (eg body proportions out of whack, or looking 90 years old), or even potentially frightening (eg she once saw me as a skeleton, she once looked feverishly ill to me). To navigate this you just have to accept - in fact nowadays these aspects are really positive - we've many times discussed the positive impact of seeing all these different aspects of each other.
I'm not sure what your experience is regarding ego-loss but I learnt the hardway that if you're inexperienced with tripping 'death bed' scenarios can loom in your mind. Very early on in our tripping experiences she got locked into the belief that she was going to die and didn't want to leave me. At these points you have to just reassure, bring an element of reality in (at that time I just kept repeating "we're just in our living room on a Sunday afternoon").
If the ego-loss is comfortable the you'll both have to momentarily go it alone, in fact some alone time, either from communicating or even in another room (although for a first time I wouldn't suggest leaving her on her own), is advisable every now and then.
There can be a tendency to get anxious and worry about the other person's state of mind - this can cause a feedback - if you're looking at someone thinking something's wrong with them you may transfere that worry to them. As with most tripping - let everything flow.
Start of the trip by forgiving all the little grievances between you -Tim Leary often suggested against couples tripping as they can get caught in the 'marriage game' - but if your relationship is steady (which her agreeing to trip would definitely suggest) things should be fine.
Just keep an eye out for any turbulance she may go through - make sure she drinks enough water, goes to the loo when feeling uncomfortable, have some moisturiser in case the skin on her face gets very dry and if she feels lost have some activities you can both do.
Maybe take a lower dosage yourself and act more as a guide.
Just my suggestions though - see what works for you - hope this has been of some use.
Good luck!

It will be a low dose.. 1.5 g dried each. I've tripped many times before, but I know she needs me more available.. So i'm doing a low one this time.
We can always do 3 the next time(which I hope will happen as well).
She is a realist, in the wheel of life. And I am a bird flying and fiddling around.. So we are opposites, I hope she will do fine. But her actually doing it is happyland enough for me now..

I'm curious Fliquid. I thought you lived near Amsterdam where shrooms are sold in smart shops. Why would you need someone to hook you up with them and why are you afraid to say their name?
Not that I want to know the name of your hook up. I'm just curious as to why you feel the need to cover it up. So when are you tripping?
