Still getting small mushrooms?

My cakes are producing very small ecuadors, the biggest on of the first flush was only an inch and a half, the jars i bought seemed to contain only vermiculite. could that be the problem considering vermiculite doesnt have nutes>?

More input....

What were your growing conditions (temp, humidity....)

That will have lots to do with your flush sizes

try dunking for 12-24 hours. if you bought the jars from a vendor than there is probably not just verm in them. if there was jsut verm i doubt it would colinize in the first place. keep temps between 73-77 degrees give 12 hours of light and cold shock.dunk. make your own jars, dont buy them. they are simple to make giving you have the materials. if you do not then buy them, they are cheap.

my growing conditions are as follows; i have about 2 inches of perlite on the bottom of my sterlite conatainer, and the temp is 78 with 12hours on and 12 hours off.

also in a thread you said you werent dunking..thats prolly a big problem right there....but you will never get any of those monsters you see people post here....those are most likely grown with shit or straw or somethin... I just really beleive you HAVE in fact got alot of info and you just still ask this question

up that to 4 or 5 times a day, keep your temp at 76, DUNK AND ROLL your cakes, keep humidity up to 95-100 %. what kind of light do you have?

and try gettin a little 15 watt fluorescent light goin instead of sunlight....
