the reason i asked s cause verm gets extremlly hot in the microwave (learned the hard way after losing 2 bowls). so since it is a plastic container make sure the number inside the recycle symbol is 5 (i believe, corect me if im wrong guys) or it will melt through it and leave a nasty mess of verm and melted plastic. i suggest if your going to do this go out and buy a pyrex glass dish and do it in there. cause it will break regular glass with the high heats. but 2-3 minutes is what i have done with no problems.

no... I use verm for rolling, and verm and coir for casing.  If am going to roll I put just verm in the pc. If I am casing then verm and coir in the pc.

It's my bad I probably shouldn't of mentioned coir in this thread since it is about cakes

no need to microwave. what do you think happens when you take out the verm from the microwve and rolla cake in it...it isn't sterile anymore.
