gallon jars and birdseed

i want to use gallon jars and use ryche's birdseed recipe substrate . polyfill in the lid and only filling the jar about half way. want to do this as the jars are free. pressure c. for about an hour or so. plan on dropping a colonized brf/verm job in there. any comments suggests?

Yeah, give your PF substrate a one minute bath in (3%) peroxide before inoculation.

And be VERY clean it is a big mess if that much birdseed gets contaminated
