Where can I find a good deal on Wheat Straw?  Any good sites or locations?  I was thinking Pet Depot :syringe: :mushroom2:

look in the classifieds for agriculture for sale. A 2x3 bale will sell for about 3.5 bucks or just phone a farmer

Look for feed stores in your area. Feed stores are also a good place to pick up crushed oyster shell.

I noticed that the wheat straw depicted in TMC looks much darker than your everyday straw. Is the straw you'd find at a craft store bleached? Seems to me that would remove a lot of its nutritional value...

not to mention wbs, white and red millet and possibly other grains I have not checked...oh and syringes in all diff sizes and needles in all diff sizes

Wheat straw is not readily available in many parts of the country. In many southern states, the only available straw is coastal bermuda - a hybrid especially suited for the climate and soil composition.

Wheat straw can be found in craft stores but it's usually seasonal and comes around Halloween.

straw at a craft store will cost you huge $$$$. I doubt its treated with anything.
