for starters you should take a spore print and post the pic.

Ted: "Uh yeah, and I got you this paper bag to stop you from looking like James Brown in the Morning."
Darlene: "Oh come now, I don't look anything like James Brown."
Ted: "Hey kids, who does your mom look like in the morning?"
Kids... in unison: "James Brown!"
Darlene, "All right, thats enough... It's poison spaghetti for dinner tonight."

Mitch nailed it. Those are Lepiota rachodes or "Shaggy Parasol" & they're a VERY good edible. Final test--cut through the stem near the base & watch for reddish staining to appear.

Satutee the caps in a little butter w/ just a hint of salt & pepper & serve over toast or noodles. Or put in an omelet. Flavor is nutty, meaty, earthy all at once. Stems are tough & fibrous (like woody asparagus) & require long slow cooking, or can be dried & powdered for a seasoning.

Wish I'd found those!
