Two good questions

Shroom Wizards tek says that that two peice lids (ring and disc) can be tightned up before sterlization. Is this true? Would this not stom steam from getting to the substrate?

Also, my friend made a believe to be contaminated syringe from a print from the FSR and he is wonder if he can still save his strain. Any idea?

Yes you tighten the jars firmely before sterilization. They are self sealing lids becaue the plastic under the rings expands when heated. No ideas on saving the strain though. sorry 8)

It might stop the steam but it won't stop the heat. Heat is what sterilizes, not steam.
Agar work can save a dirty syringe, print, etceteras.
