Just lay them on a paper towel. If you need them quickly, fan dry them for a day then put them in a container with some desiccant and a wire screen/papertowel underneath them.

I've heard good things about food dehydrators. There's a $40 one at evilmart that I found out everyone has been pimping after I bought it.

Evilmart! HAHA! love that... anyway, does anyone know the specs on heat and decompostition of psilocybin? Does a dehydrator decrease potency?

dehydrater = thumbs up, no it doesn't decrease potency. Make sure you get one that has a temperature control though. I've seen them that go as low as 90F (at wally world)which is perfect!

American Harvest Snackmaster dehydrator is a great choice. It has a dial in temp on this model...you can set it at 95 degrees F. and not worry about any potency loss to your little friends.
I have picked up 3 of these models from the local 2nd hand stores that were in like new condition...they looked like they had never been used, and they probably hadn't been used. And I only payed like $4.99 to $6.00 for each one. Buy several and use all the trays in one unit...you can stack up to 12 trays on one unit...and keep the extra base units for back up...in case you wear one out.
Picture of the American Harvest Snackmaster Pro 2400 dehydrator. This one Sold on Ebay for $51.00 recently...it came with 9 trays.
These models go for around $59.95 new in the store...and they only come with 4 trays.
You can pick one up off Ebay semi cheap...$8.00 on up.
Again...I suggest checking all the 2nd hand stores that are in your area for one. Once you use one of these you will never go back to other methods.
Good luck!~

Roadkill,
Nice, I started with a little one like that and I agree they work great! If you can not find one with a temp control try leaving the top cover off of it. Assuming it gets above 120F. Kind of like this
I picked up this dehydrator at the second hand store for 25$
It was under some stuff and all I could see was a temperature dial on the back. Once I dug it out I realized what it was.

I have to agree. The dehydrator was a good investment. I recently bought the american harvest food dehydrator. It works great. the pan cyans and cubes turned out wonderful. No loss in potency. the pans knocked me on my ass. For anyone doing them for the first time. 1 gram is probably sufficient.
go with the dehydrator. just my 2 cents

get a large plastic bowl with a lid on it and some screen. Cut screen to fit 3 or 4 in below lid but not touching bottom of bowl, pour calcium hydroxide in bottom of bowl (not touching screen). Put shrooms on screen seal up for 2 to 3 days stiring calcium hydroxide on bottom of bowl once a day. Calcium Hydroxide can be found at most hardware stores under the brand name damp rid or generic names.

I have found that a bamboo steamer works great. It doesn't run on electricity which is a plus, is discreet, and fairly inexpensive. I put mine on top of the refrigerator for the extra heat. Try a google image search for a picture ( or click http://images.google.com/images?q=bamboo+steamer&hl=en&lr= ). Some models have several trays for larger loads. Be sure to split the stems of big fruitbodies to really cut the drying time.

i've never heard of a bamboo steamer before but now i'm interested since they're only about 10 bux. but my question is how do you dehydrate your shrooms with it? the desription of them says "Handmade steamer can be used to keep seafood, vegetables, dim sum or tortillas warm and moist." warm and moist? how is this used???
