PF Mix rotting.

Is there anyway to stop the PF Mix from rotting? I never able to get the whole container colonized in time before like half of it hits the fan. THe mycelium seem fine.

I forgot what size jar but its big. Use small jars is the only answer?

when you start just use the half a pinters. inoc @ 4 places with a viable shaken syringe. rot should not occur when you pressure cooked your cakes.

i steamed the suckers, i am cheap, i cant afford PC. Yeah i guess i will have to use smaller containers.

IS steaming the fine i heard if you steam them for two hours it will be fine with the 1/2 points.because pc ar expensive i cant find a used one.

dont know how big ur containers are but its likely that they dont get sterilized by steaming only. Hence surviving bacteria to cause rot.

To get a pressure cooker go to Sears I bought one there for 49.99 it cooks at 10 pounds and it works great even for rye

Wally world has smaller PCs (not sure exact size), 17 bucks! You cant beat that! Probly would only hold 3 or 4 half pints but hey....

1/2 pints (of verm/rice flour) only need one hour of steam at the most.

there is an old junk man down the mountain. i saw an old pressure cooker there in his yard. on the way to his door i saw among a monsterous amount of cool crap (including a real live peacock) alot of pressure cookers. i got a 22 quart PC for $15. i think i could pull a couple more outta the guy. im also willing to see if he is willing to ship em so i dont have to be in the middle. give you the hook up man...
