    #3786072 - 02/15/05 11:14 PM (11 years, 8 months ago)

If you have read my past post i have a mini fridge and want to convert it into a fruiting chamber or incubation chamber. Which do you think is better for the fridge? incu or fruit? How would i go about making one or the other and then what steps do i need to do for the other thing not done with the fridge.

Thats kinda rambling but if you dont understand please ask.

I would imagine a mini-fridge would make for a better incubator then a fruiting chamber-insulation properties.

What steps would you need? Well...an incubator is a heating chamber, so...you'll need to heat it. Heating pad, fool around with one until you can maintain the temperature you want in there.

To find a place to live between the negatives and positives.

Unless your mini fridge has a glass door already, I would just use it as an incubator. A fruiting chamber has to allow light to penetrate it...
For a fruiting chamber I would find a plastic storage container, cut a hole in the lid, cover it with clear plastic, and put some weight on top to hold the lid down. Then just put about an inch of damp perlite in the bottom of the container.
