Massive Outdoor Grow
    #3785739 - 02/15/05 10:33 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

This is part of a massive undertaking on my part to fill my garden with mushroomy goodness. As you can see there have been some contams in the form of some carrots and raspberry bushes, but the myc is staying strong and has ripped through the substrate. As you can also see i'm initiating fruiting with the sun, however you don't see my humidification apparatus involving fire-hoses.

Hoping for pins/fruits soon!

Have a nice day!

That's funny!
The "myc" in my backyard is about a foot thick right now.

Is this a joke or are you really trying to pass snow off as myc.?

OK OK I guess you guys got me. Yes it's just a light dusting of snow that actually resembles myc to a certain extent. I was hoping you'd catch all the obvious bs involving firehoses and contams of carrots and raspberries.

So no I didn't make myself a 20x20 foot casing but hey we all can dream can't we?

EDIT: AND YES IT WAS A JOKE THE WHOLE TIME YOU SILLY PEOPLE!

I thought about taking a pic of a harvested corn field that had snow on it and it looked like some of the bulk grows with straw that I have seen on here...I don't have a cam tho

I was going to ask how you got mycelium to grow all over the top of that leaf near the bottom, but not on the edges!

Don't laugh, I am going to be spraying all my honey-water jars into an area that is usualy heavily mushroomed around the way here. Not for harvesting, just for fun. I have more honey-water mycelium than I need. Might as well use it for some cool experiments!

The farmers land is next! I found a nice shade-spot that few cows frequent, and no-one can readily see. I sprayed it with a peroxide bath last year, that helped fill the whole area with a nice moss carpet. (I did that in preperation for this!)

(One more month and the earth is mine!)

(The peroxide was mixed (3% houshold):(Local stream water) 1:100, sprayed until saturated on an overcast day. Sun destroys the peroxide too fast. Night time would have been better, but that would have looked suspicious, this farm area can only be accessed by walking a mile through the woods.)

Next, I have to prep the area with disolved borax (20 Mule Borax), that will buffer for about 2 years. (Borax is a soft PH 9, diluted it can be used to control mold and insects, fireproof paper, kills roaches, and kills many weeds. Not reccomended for multiple use, as it can easily toxify soils if used the wrong way.) My mix ratio is the same 1:100, borax:tap-water, sprayed lightly, followed by 100% stream water until soaked.

Two weeks later, you spray honey-water spawn, and run! (Literally, there is a bull in the pasture!)
