I hate contams!

I keep getting green mold in my terrinium. I also have a large amount of jars on their way. I was thinking of washing all the stones and then the tub with water and soap and then do the same with lysol or rubbing alcohal. Will this kill off the green mold or shall I do anythin else. Thankyou-- CB

You know there is a contamination forum, right? Wipe everything down with a 1:10 ratio bleach/water, but it's still not guaranteed to rid you of the trich problem, as just a little patch of green mold can drop billions of spores all over your work area / house.

Are you saying that once my terrinium is contaminated, it is forever no matter how well you clean it? I would but another, but the stones cost like $30. And, I don't want to fill the thing with cases to find out they all get contaminated. Mabye once I clean it I will make another mini-case to test the water.

No, he's saying that if you breed contaminants inside your terrarium, they will possibly spread to whole growroom.

Try to follow Diver advice. Bleach is one of the best available disinfectants. You should also clean the whole (walls, furniture, windows) growroom with this 1:10 ratio solution.

As for the terrarium goes and if you want to do a deep cleaning, just submerge it in your bath tub, pour some bleach, wait 4 to 6 hours, take it off and clean it very well with water and soap.

I think I will dump bleach and water into the tub with the rocks and just let them sit there for a few hours and then drain. I have two terriniums that I will do this to. I'll ave to post how things go in a few weeks.
