I'm thinkin about chowin down on my collection of Panaeolus tonight, but I know I have a few that are not Panaeolus Subbalteaus, however every mushroom I have found drops a black spore print and have all come from the same area. I do believe they are all Panaeolus of some sort, they all look very similiar and have some of the same characteristics of the Pan. subbs(black spores, slight bluing on mycelium, same type of stems, etc.)
So... I was wondering if there were any blackspored LBMs that are toxic?
I think you'll be OK (but don't sue me if I'm wrong!); there are NO poisonous Panaeolus spp., I've sampled several & w/ the exception of subbs have experienced at worst (or best) hiccups, mild queasiness, & gaseous indidgestion followed by bad smelly farts. They're not toxic, but not particularly digestible either. If by chance you do become seriously ill, you will have set a precedent & made a valuable contribution to scientific knowledge.
