G Bye folks...
    #3780234 - 02/14/05 09:10 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

Hi Everyone,
Had some great times here n learned a lot.
Alas, they're taking me to the nut hut tomorrow
probably to thro me in some dungon with ball n chains.
No, I'm not a Heroin addict, or Crack addict, Never taken
E or any "street" drugs (even quit booze 6 months ago)
my only mistake was that I took shooms ONCE (2 yrs ago)
and it spawned an unbrearable reaction that took my life away from me
(literally, life savings, jobs, girl friend, but most of all
my love of the little things in life like feeling an inate
joy in life and flowers and trees and mountains and lakes)
I'm a completely different person now, lifeless and miserable.
I DO NOT CONDONE TAKING SHROOMS, they just had a very Traumatic
affect on me. If u don't hear from me in a week or so, and u
feel like doing a kind deed come and get me out of the Douglas
Institute or Foster Pavillion in Montreal (don't know where they're
taking me yet). I'm going to post this in S&P and mental health
(I realize it's a double post, but I hope the mods will tolerate it,
it may well be my last...)
love to all
lucid

I am sorry, but taking shrooms once of one's free will is not likely to have caused one to suddenly lose all care for the valuable things in one's life. You must look elsewhere and take responsibility for your self. In my life I have done LSD over 300 times, shrooms over 150 times, Peyote or San Pedro a over 150 times, Ayahuasca 25 times, and LSA twice. This was mostly in earlier times of my life. I have a good job, a great marriage, and 3 very exceptional children who are nearly adults themselves. I wish you the best and I hope you find the root of your problem, but it is unlikely to be a single psychedelic experience.

Lucid, good luck, and I hope you find your way back home....  Best of luck to you....

Everybody is different....  Some people have died from the first time they have done crack....  Or even taking aspirin....  Some people's systems just are not chemically equipt to handle such things....  The luck of the DNA draw....

You have taken LSD 300 times....?  WoW...!   Not judging AT ALL, I have only had the chance to do it about 5 times in my life....  :frown:  Been a year and a half now since Lucy has come around....  Just have to stick to M&Ms, but not out of choice....     I am glad my biochemical makup is able to withstand such delights....  :yesnod:  My parents are str8 aces....  Go figure....!?!?

I am 40 years old (one trip a week nearly for 6 years between 17 and 23 with a few others since). I haven't done LSD in nearly 10 years as of now. I have never thought of it as a negative influence, though. I just enjoy my status a a free man.
I have an older brother who has had problems with alcohol (as have I at one time) and he blames all of his failings on alcohol instead of taking personal responsibility for his actions. His problem has cost him much. The person's above quote would describe him too a tee.
"and it spawned an unbrearable reaction that took my life away from me
(literally, life savings, jobs, girl friend, but most of all
my love of the little things in life like feeling an inate
joy in life and flowers and trees and mountains and lakes)
I'm a completely different person now, lifeless and miserable."
These could have been his words. He has never once taken responsibility for these things...it is always the demon alcohol.

Lucid, you're not crazy.  Maybe you are, but it doesn't show in your posts.  Go get yourself figured out and then let's move on, when you come back.  Take care!

If making a thread about going to a mental institute doesn't show craziness, I don't know what does.

just because you can handle your drugs well doesn't mean everyone can.

and if someone thinks doing drugs fucked them up, then in a way it did... I mean, if they hadn't done the drugs, they might not have gotten fucked up, and if they did get fucked up anyways (because it was inevitable for them), then something else would have triggered it.

hmm, I don't know if I agree with myself... when a straw breaks a camel's back, obviously the camel was over-loaded in the first place... but still, that straw is the proximal culprit.

the way things work in real life though, we'll never know if he would have gotten fucked up if he didn't eat mushrooms, because he did eat the mushrooms.

Hey Lucid,

Sorry to learn of your upcoming visit to the "nut hut"as you put it. That cracked me up and I think it's good you can joke about it too. Humor is important in all situations.

Stay strong, good luck and hope you get out soon.

The truth about psychedelics is that they are "perilous" (as the natives but), as is life.

good luck man! Don't let them turn you into a pharmacopic zombie!

Much love,

i think the 'nut hut' might actually reinforce your belief that you are crazy or mentally scarred for life. Are you being forced to go there or is this your choice? If I were you I'd check it out, and decide if that's the right place for you to get better, or not. I dunno, I just have this image in my head of these mental institutions: u see crazy ppl walking around, talking to themselves, maybe a few are drooling.. well imagine it like in the movie 12 Monkeys but not that extreme (or is it?). I can't possibly see how ppl could get better in such a place. But please, prove me wrong, I hope it really isn't like that and I hope you can discover yourself again. bye
