CAN THIS HAPPEN WITH ACID OR SHROOMS???

I who how safe shrooms and LSD ( I perfer shrooms) are in relative to the amount you have to eat to OD or have a (toxic) level in you.
I know that the way shrroms and acid work is by disfunctioning the brains filtering process and you can feel colors and see what you hear.

If you have a bad or good trip and your sense's switch, i.e. colorsl to touch, sound to sight, ect.
can sometimes these not "switch back" and be on a permanent trip?

Could ones mind not "switch back" to normal funtioning and stay in Lala land forever?

Or will all of them switch back once the drug has motabilsied?

You should read a bit more about these drugs before saying you know how they work (that's just a suggestion, not a flame).

No, if you take LSD or shrooms you will come back to normal unless you happen to have a psychotiv break, but you have to already have an underlying mental condition for that to happen.

Go to www.erowid.org and look up some info on LSD if you're still wondering.

where i live there are PLENTY or stories going around concerning lsd...like there was this one guy who passed out and his friends put like 40 hits of acid on his stomach and he "never came back", and so on...or my friends dad claims he took so much mushrooms over his life, his liver is so damaged that if he had even one beer he would most likely die....though i think hes just trying to scare us.
There are also rumors going around that when lsd is in your brain and its in your "thinking web" or something like that, if a thought is passing through it and is stopped by an lsd molecule..your brain just stops..DEAD LIKE THAT...your a vegetable forever...i think this is just a rumor also.
But by my opinion...i think if you take enough lsd, you might not come back, however i think you would have to take a considerable amount.
If lsd doesnt go away after youve tripped it off...then what happened to syd barret from pink floyd??....they kicked him out because he was taking too much lsd...or he went insane or something...not too clear on that storie

The effects you are speaking of is actually a condition known as 'synesthesia'. As far as I know, this is not something that happens to many people.

In theory, psychedelics won't cause you to go schizo. They 'can' however, cause an underlying mental condition to surface. This still doesn't mean you will be in 'lala land'. If psychedelics caused you to go bonkers, then most of the poeple I associate with, including myself would be far beyond medical help. ;-)

Just do your research, and don't abuse the drugs. All should be fine and dandy then.

this happens alot to me and I haven't tripped in 4 months. it's pretty fucked up when you remember something that happened last week but can't tell if it was a dream or not. They seem real enough but I'm just not sure.

You may think I am pulling your leg, but this has happened to someone in my area who smoked marijuana at school during lunch time..

It was on the news here in Cali and everything, everyone in the area knows about it..a lotta people here stopped their usage of drugs after that happened.

But not me and my folks!

We ride the high till we die ;)

This is to everyone reading. I once ate 20 grams of strong mushies an was not at all prepared for what happend at all. to cut the story short after about 4 hrs. into the trip the tiniest bit of reality hit me an i noticed i didn't know my name or anything an when i tried to think of who i was etc... i also noticed that the hallucinations etc. where my new place an that i was never comming back to normal reality because it did't exist anymore. after another couple hrs. i started to come back alittle at a time. it was fun but at the same time the weirdest scariest experience i have ever had. an i don't rate this as a bad trip it was definately good it was just a strong level 5 an i had never even really explored level 3 much.

Well, like most other people said, you need to go on errowid and check out the lsd and psilocybin vaults. You cant overdose on lsd in any reasonable sense. there has NEVER been a proven case of lsd over dose. and you have to eat about your body weight in fresh mushrooms to overdose, and trust me, youll die of over-indulgence long before the psilocybin gets you. and the thing about syd is that he had been mentally unstable long before he started tripping. unless you you have a family or personal history of schitzophrenia or other mental ilnesses, you wont go crazy from lsd or mushrooms. if you want to find out more about syd, read "crazy diamond" or one of the many other books about his fall into insanity. PSYCHEDELICS ARE NOT DANGEROUS IN ANY WAY AT ALL AS LONG AS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just be careful -- dont drink a gallon of pure lsd or 145 punds of mushrooms and you will be fine. if you eat a sheet of acd, you may trip for a week, or so, but not forever. (besides, i dont see the problem in always trippin, youd never have to buy shrooms again!)

ok....all of you people in here who asked about rumors you heard concerning lsd, mushrooms, or any other drug....THEY ARE ALL TRUE!!!!!!!!! dont listen to what these morons in here say about how lsd and mushrooms are safe, because they are the worst drugs out there. they poison your mind and body. they'll make you commit crimes, and have sex with animals. stay away from hallucinogens. only the spawn of satan would take such chemicals into his or her body.

I'm pretty sure there has been ONE, supposedly someone mistook LSD crystals(you'll probably never see 'em) for cocaine, (dumb mistake) and took upwards of 1000 hits, snorting them.
