A friends gf's friend's cousin wants to construct a cleanroom/growroom using pvc tubing as the structure of the room. She was wondering where can she find plastic covering to drape over the skeleton of the "room", or would the covering need to be made separately? This structure would be approximately 20ft by 15ft and 7ft tall.
Thanks!

wow that is big. look for plastic sheeting in the paint section of HD, Lowes or any decent hardware store. thicker is better. you won't find any pieces big enough to drape over that whole structure so you'll no doubt be joining them together somehow.

Heavy duty plastic...its called Visqueen.
You can buy it at Hardware stores, Home Improvement Centers and Industrial Supply places.
Visqueen somes in several different size mils...from light stuff to really heavy duty stuff.
Good luck!~

Actually in an Industrial Supply house he will find some that is larger than what he is looking for. They come in huge rolls.
I know because I was a Purchasing Agent for many years.
Largest roll I have seen was....20' by 200' < I'm sure they even come bigger. But the price on that was out of this world.

wow.. thanks a lot people!!
i was hoping hyphae could give my friend some advice since i saw a pic of a big grow chamber from him. so the plastic "Visqueen" would have to be held together with some kind of tape, or is there a better way of sealing the thing?
anybody from the HAZMAT team?? lol

In Asbesto's removal they use Duct tape to seal Visqueen.
Should be good enough for Mycology.

Parcel sealing tape on both sides with a little overlap is surprisingly tough. Lay the edges out flat on the floor and it's easy to do in one piece, or if you're less anal than I you can do it in small strips. Nothing will get through it, and as it's transparent you can see the edges of the plastic underneath as you apply it.
