why in the world?

why are you supposed to wait 12 hours (i think thats what it is) after you make the print into a syringe to innoculate? wouldnt the spores be better fresh, and i have heard of people just straight dumping some spores into the substrate straight of the print.

If the print is not fresh, the spores need to rehydrate.
