finch:verm to plain finch

i made six jars with some finch seed, and since my pc only holds three jars i have to make three jars worth of finch and then pc those and then while they are pc ing i make another thrre jars of finch seeds for the next batch. well, on the second batch i didnt steep enough finch seed so i had to add some verm to make it three jars worth. well it is day three since innoculation or close to three days (not sure) and the ones with verm are colonizing and the plain finch aint. is there any reason why the finch with verm would work better?

one plus one plus one equals three

If you innoculated with a spore syringe then its because the infant mycelium can get a better growth hold on the verm because it has so many crevaces and what not where as the finch doesn't have much for a germinating spore to attach to. If you used agar or mycelium syringes then its basicly the same concept. Eventually the plain finch seed jars will show signs of growth but it will take a bit longer than the jars with vermiculite.
