spore prints can be contaminated?

Hey I got some spore prints but was rather stupid and made a syringe using the oven tech, which didn't work at all and the syringe has other bacteria spores in it.
My question is now that I opened the spore print, I must assume that it is now fully contaminated? You have to open spore prints in a controlled environment, like a glove box but how come you can store them just in a bag?
Some light on this issue would be nice, thanks.

sucks a nut hardcore, I gotta laugh as my agar plates are not contaminated (at least no growth other than white) but my damn syringes get contaminated. I guess the game for not getting the hepa airhood is over. I will have to use a glove box in the mean time to hold me off, since I can't afford it!
someone should make a damn hepa airhood kit, everyone here would buy one if it was $200-300.

May I ask why anyone would want to do such a thing?
On a quick sidenote, how is it that you have a trade rating mere hours after your account was created? tsk tsk...

To clean up a contaminated print you will have to use agar and culture it out. Karo does nothing, the contamination will grow in karo just as good as the spores.
Why spend $200 on a flow hood when you can bild a glove box for $20

That would depend on how you use it.
I have had my Glove Box hooked up to a hepa filter, In those instances it is a forced air box.
If you are using it with out forced air you will load it, let it set for a while, then use your sterilizing agent (alcohol or lysol) inside the box. Then let it set for a while.
