i belive they are, but im no customs officer...u can still bring them, cause drug dogs cant sniff for them, if thats your worry. now finding them if they are indeed illegal, would be tough being given language barriers (unless you speak spanish) and the fact that you dont know anybody...my 2 pennies...

I believe posession of fresh shrooms, spores, and mycelium is legal Posession of dried shrooms or cultivating shrooms is illegal. I doubt they would throw you in jail, afterall most of my ancestors in Mexico used fungi in ceremonial rituals. When I go to Mexico probably in the summer, I'm going huntin' for sure especially since my family over there owns a cow ranch. In Mexico most of the time you can bribe most officials, shit most people have no idea how corrupted the border patrol still is. All about the money. Especially in the poorer cities...if you get pulled over with a trash bag of mush and police discover and know what it is, just bribe them. Most of them would rather have money then take time to throw a harmless person in jail. My dad secretly flashes some pesos like 50-100 pesos and they always let him go for speeding like nothing when hes been drinking. Here is how you ask "Where can I find the magic mushrooms? in spanish "Donde puedo encuentrar los hongos magicos?" peace
